Homemade Strawberry jam
With just 3 ingredients and water, you can make delicious homemade strawberry jam at home. No preservative or artificial color or flavor is used in this recipe. It is healthy and tasty.
I have been trying various recipes of pickles and jams at home for some time now. Most of the recipes have been passed down from generations. In fact in Indian households, pickle recipes are always a grandmother’s secret. The recipes are simple and made using all-natural and healthy ingredients.
With that age-old experience, I tried my experiment with strawberries. I have used fresh strawberries for this recipe, you can also use a frozen one. The recipe is very simple. It is made with 3 ingredients and some water. You can make this homemade jam with very little effort.

Step by Step photo guide of how to make Homemade Strawberry jam
1. Take freshly chopped strawberries in a pan. Then add sugar in it.
2. Add some water to the pan. It will help to melt the sugar and soften the strawberries faster.
3. Stir and mix everything well so that the strawberry is well coated in the sugar syrup that is being made gradually.
4. Keep stirring rapidly till the strawberries are tender and cooked properly.
5. Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture into a separate bowl. Let it cool down for some time.
6. Use an electric blender to blend the mixture till it is lump-free. You will get a smooth runny puree of strawberries.
7. Now take a separate pan and heat it. Transfer the puree to the pan.
8. Cook it again. Keep stirring continuously to prevent sticking of the puree at the bottom due to the sugar content in it.
9. At this time add some freshly chopped strawberries to it. This will give a pulpy taste to the jam.
10. Stir everything well and add some lemon juice to balance the taste and you can skip the lemon juice if you are using sour or unripe strawberries. You can also add some sugar if you feel it is not sweet enough.
11. Cook by stirring rapidly till the puree changes to a dark color. You can switch off the flame after the jam reached your desired consistency.
12. Store the jam in air-tight container for up to 6 months.

Ingredients
- 500 grams Strawberry
- 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 Tbs Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Take freshly chopped strawberries in a pan. Then add sugar in it.
