Make soft spongy Dhokla at home. This can be a quick breakfast recipe. Khaman Dhokla is very easy and healthy and can be made instantly.Serving a variety in breakfast becomes quite difficult for every mom. Breakfast is the first meal of the day so you have to find a recipe that is healthy, super quick, and easy. So, I came up with this Khaman Dhokla recipe which can be made easy and instantly.
Stir continuously for 2 to 3 minutes to make a smooth batter.
Now add baking soda to the smooth batter.
Add the lemon juice to the batter
Stir immediately and completely mix everything. The better you mmix, the softer the dhoklas will be.
Now pour the smooth batter in a baking dish.
Place the tray in a pan with some water in it. This will help the steaming process.
Cover the lid and let it steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
Meanwhile let’s prepare the tadka or tempering for the dhoklas.
Heat some oil in a pan.
Add some mustard seeds to the hot oil.
Then add cumin seeds to it.
As the dry spices sputter add 8 to 10 curry leaves to the oil.
Also add green chilies cut lengthwise from the middle.
Now pour some water to the tempering.
Add sugar to the mixture.
Also, add some salt and stir the mixture.
Once the mixture starts boiling, you can switch off the flame.
Now, check the dhoklas. If they are nice and fluffy, your dhoklas are ready for tempering. Insert a toothpick to check if your dhoklas are done. If the tooth pick comes out clean, you can remove the tray.
Now pour the tadka on the dhokla
Let the dhokla soak the tempering for about 10 to 15 minutes.
You can shape the dhoklas bu cutting out small portions with a knife. Here I have made square dhoklas.
Now you can serve hot spongy Dhoklas for breakfast.
